Dear all,
I simulated a geothermal reservoir (cubic) which is stimulated by a "massflux" through a sphere. I think my model runs and works as it should.
I calculated the pressure and get results as expected. In comparison I calculated the maximum principal stress and get irrational results. Instead of positive principal stresses I get negative stresses with a strong decay. I expect positive stress changes (lower than pressure) due to injection of fluid and pressure increase around the sphere.
Has someone an idea what could be the problem? Is this a problem of notation or mesh?
Has someone modeled a same scenario and could give me an advice about the boundary conditions espacially for solic mechanics?
Greetings and thank you!
Nastasja K.
