I am trying to model cells flowing through a 3D microfluidic channel in comsol. I have been having issues getting the results to match what I see experimentally, but I am not sure what factors I am missing.
The velocity profile from creeping flow looks appropriate, but the particle tracing is not even close to what I've obtained experimentally. I assume that if the particles (cells) touch the bottom surface of the microfluidic channel that they stick; however none of the particles reach the bottom of the channel by the end of my simulation. Experimentally I see between 100 and 2000 cells attaching to that surface, depending on the conditions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The file size is too large to upload, but I can share it via email if anyone thinks they can help.
