FSI convergence - tiny time steps

Hi,

I have succesfully simulated the pulsatile blood flow in a - 2D axisymmetric model - stenosed artery with two study steps (1.Time dependent 2.Stationary) in the same way as in the example models.sme.blood_vessel.

Now i try to solve the problem in FSI physics(time dependent study), using initial values from the previous study(the 2 study steps) but takes too long due to very small step size(increased reciprocal of step size) and so i eventually stop the computation (almost 2hrs for 7.6e-4 secs solved). Why?

I think the model is well set.
My initial values seem ok at the detailed log(pressure shown is manually scaled). The mesh is dense enough. My BCs at FSI are:
1)inlet velocity varied as shown in the picture,
2)outlet constant pressure
3)symmetry, at the left boundary
4)fixed costrained boundary condition for all the remaining boundaries except the ones contacting with the blood(=blueish coloured one)
I use Fully Coupled with jacobian update once per time step.

Any hints/explanations? and how to fix that
