Hi!
I am modeling flowing droplets of oil in water in a microchannel (w=100um) with Laminar Two Phase Flow Level Set, and Transport of Diluted Species. In the aqueous phase (phils=0) I have one compound A, in the organic phase (phils=1) I have another compound B. At the interface they react together to form C.
My question is the following: While droplets flow in the microchannel, I observe that my compound A is partly entering the organic phase, B is partly entering the aqueous phase, and C (which I'd like to be only soluble in the organic phase) is entering the aqueous phase. This is due to recirculation (convection) inside the droplets and inside the aqueous plugs between the droplets. I'd like to state that compounds A, B, and C cannot flow through the interface.
For example, if the reaction happens between phils=0.4 and phils=0.6, I'd like to impose a no flux condition for A at phils =0.7 and a no flux condition for B and C at phils =0.3.
What would the formulation be for the equations in tds>transport properties>equation view? (I am relatively new in Comsol so I don't know how to write these equations).
Thank you!
Axel
