Hi,
I am studying a three dimensional model in which the hot air flows through a pipe and the pipe is surrounded by a phase change material. As a result there are three domains: air domain (turbulent flow), metal pipe domain (heat transfer in solids) and phase change material domain (heat transfer with phase change). I am trying to perform a time-dependent study to investigate the temperature in time for each domain. Unfortunately, the solver is unable to reach the convergence and the simulation terminates after performing several hundred of steps. I have tried to tune the mesh as well as the solver configurations however without success. The convergence problem is mainly concerning the fluid flow segregated step. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to enhance the simulation parameters? Thanks in advance.
I am attaching the .mph file.
