Fluid-borne noise generation in turbine bypass line

I'm attempting to simulate the noise generated from fluid flow within a turbine bypass line. Due to the configuration and varying inner diameters of the pipes a combination of fluid induced noise and mechanical excitation of the pipes are probable causes for the noise. My question is knowing the flow conditions and geometry of the piping, is a multi-physics model with fluid-flow coupled with pipe acoustics the right approach to take or would a Pressure Acoustics study in the frequency domain much like the absorptive muffle example be suitable. The final objective is too add poroacoustic materials to the model to verify insertion losses. Thank you very much for your time.
