Transport in multimaterial geometry

Hello,
I would like to model a transport of hydrogen (H2) in a multilateral geometry. This geometry is approximated as 2D in which a flow of fluid contains diluted hydrogen and it is in contact with a steel tube containing helium, thus I have three different domains. The hydrogen, solubilized in the liquid flow, starts to diffuse in the steel and then it is trapped in the helium flow. The H2 is in the liquid flow in monoatomic form (hence, H), whereas in the helium in diatomic form.
I have a twofold question.
1) Have I to model the transport by using three different "Transport properties", one for each subdomains?
2) Have I to take into account the change from H2 to H by adding another species (two species)?

With my best regards,
LC
