How to model laminar flow between parallel plates with partially slip boundary condition?

Hi all,

I'm trying to simulate a laminar flow between parallel plates. It's inlet velocity and outlet velocity are set to be the same---4z(H-z)umax/H^2 in x direction (only). The top and bottom boudaries are walls and the left and right side are "symmatry BC". This is essentially a 2D problem. I did this in 2D and it worked, but once I try to simulate it in 3D with everything the same and independent of y, it doesn't converge. Can someone please help me?

I forgot to mention. There is a part of upper wall that is slip and the rest are no slip. Thanks!

Best,

Xu
